Magic Table

Inpatients do find it quite boring in hospital at quiet periods of the day. We purchased a ‘Magic Table’ for patients and their families to use. The games on the table help with memory and dexterity

Phlebotomy chair

Upon request by staff, LoF purchased this highly specialised chair for the Blood Test department, which makes life easier for the staff and patients alike.

Skeleton

Skeleton donated by LoF to the Physiotherapy Dept, to enable patients to have a better understanding of their anatomy.

Ward Reopening

Reopening of the wards in July 2013.

Car Park

The Beech Road site was identified as suitable for a car park and funds to cover design and landscaping were provided by the LoF. Construction was completed in March 2010
and makes parking in both the hospital and GP Health Centre much easier as well as improving safety in Church Lane and Beech Road.

New specialist blood test chair

New specialist blood test chair, being tested by past Mayor William King, and beside him one of the many new patients’ chairs bought by the LOF.

Muscle Tone Machine

We supported the Physiotherapy department with a Muscle tone machine for treating patients with specific muscle weakness conditions.

The Haslmere LoF organised the successful campaign to save Haslemere wards from closure.

Beds Campaign

The LoF organised the successful 2005 campaign to save Haslemere wards from closure. The wards faced a similar threat in 2000 and are still vulnerable today.

Our Projects & Campaigns

The LoF has campaigned and raised funds over the years to provide Haslemere Hospital with essential purchases, ranging from specialist medical equipment, such as sleep apnoea (CPAP) machines and a blood bank fridge, to furnishings for wards and garden furniture.
